Por medio de la presente, la organización Venezolanos Perseguidos Políticos en el Exilio (Veppex) tiene el honor de dirigirse a usted en representación de la comunidad venezolana que ha encontrado en los Estados Unidos de América un refugio ante las graves violaciones a los derechos humanos, la persecución política y la crisis humanitaria ocasionada por el régimen ilegítimo de Nicolás Maduro en Venezuela.
Permitimos, en primer lugar, expresar nuestro reconocimiento a su administración por las medidas adoptadas en defensa de los principios democráticos y la libertad en nuestra región. La cancelación de los acuerdos petroleros con el régimen de Maduro constituye un paso trascendental que ha contribuido a limitar los recursos de dicha dictadura, reflejando el compromiso inequívoco de su gobierno con la justicia y el apoyo a los pueblos que luchan por su soberanía.
En este marco, nos permitimos presentar ante usted una respetuosa solicitud de carácter migratorio en favor de los ciudadanos venezolanos que, habiendo sido beneficiarios del Estatus de Protección Temporal (TPS) en los Estados Unidos, se encuentran actualmente en una situación de incertidumbre tras la expiración de dicho amparo. Nos referimos específicamente a aquellos individuos que, durante su estancia en este país, han cumplido rigurosamente con las leyes, contribuyendo de manera significativa al desarrollo económico y social de la nación que los ha acogido.
En consecuencia, solicitamos respetuosamente que su administración considere la posibilidad de implementar una medida migratoria que otorgue protección a estos venezolanos, quienes, sin haber cometido delito alguno en territorio estadounidense, merecen continuar residiendo en este país sin el riesgo de ser retornados a una nación donde su integridad física y sus derechos fundamentales estarían gravemente comprometidos. Tal decisión no solo sería congruente con la política de su gobierno hacia el régimen venezolano, sino que además consolidaría el rol de los Estados Unidos como un bastión de los valores humanitarios y democráticos a nivel global.
Confiando plenamente en la capacidad de análisis que caracterizan su liderazgo, quedamos a la entera disposición para colaborar en la evaluación de esta petición o para proporcionar cualquier información adicional que estime pertinente.

Through this letter, the Organization of Politically Persecuted Venezuelans in Exile (Veppex) has the honor of addressing you on behalf of the Venezuelan community that has found refuge in the United States of America from the severe human rights violations, political persecution, and humanitarian crisis caused by the illegitimate regime of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela.
First, allow us to express our recognition of your administration for the measures taken in defense of democratic principles and freedom in our region. The cancellation of oil agreements with the Maduro regime represents a momentous step that has helped limit the resources of that dictatorship, reflecting your government’s unequivocal commitment to justice and support for peoples fighting for their sovereignty.
Within this context, we respectfully present a migration-related request on behalf of Venezuelan citizens who, having been beneficiaries of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States, now face uncertainty following the expiration of this protection. We refer specifically to those individuals who, during their stay in this country, have strictly complied with its laws, significantly contributing to the economic and social development of the nation that has welcomed them.
Consequently, we respectfully request that your administration consider implementing a migratory measure to grant protection to these Venezuelans who, having committed no crimes on U.S. soil, deserve to continue residing in this country without the risk of being returned to a nation where their physical integrity and fundamental rights would be gravely endangered. Such a decision would not only align with your government’s policy toward the Venezuelan regime but also solidify the United States’ role as a global bastion of humanitarian and democratic values.
With full confidence in the analytical capacity that characterizes your leadership, we remain entirely available to collaborate in evaluating this request or to provide any additional information you deem relevant.
