Carta de VEPPEX al Presidente de Estados Unidos solicitando que El Cartel de los Soles sea declarado como organización terrorista

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing to request that you consider the possibility of including the “Cartel de los Soles”, a drug trafficking organization made up of Venezuelan military personnel and whose head is Diosdado Cabello, for whom the United States is offering a $25 million reward, as a terrorist organization. It should be noted that the Cartel del Sol has close ties with Mexican drug cartels, amply demonstrated in investigations carried out by U.S. intelligence agencies and the DEA.

It is important that, as well as neutralizing the members of the “Tren de Aragua” that are living in the U.S., to also neutralize the operations of drug cartels that only want to have the United States as the final destination of their activities.

There are military members of this drug trafficking cartel that are now facing judicial processes in United States courts, such as Hugo Carvajal, former head of the Venezuelan military intelligence. This clearly reiterates the existence and operation of the “Cartel de los Soles”.
